hey so i’ve been getting tonsil stones for awhile now but i didn’t know it – I just coughed them up once in awhile. But 5 months ago i was asking my sister (a nurse) about a cut in my mouth and she noticed the white on my tonsil – after scouring the internet for some time I found this site, which I found immensely helpful and was able to get the stone out with a q-tip. However the other day i had another one, which was infuriating because i could feel it my tonsil was so irritated. So after a half hour I found somewhere that suggested using a “plaquer” the pointed end. This worked instantly for me. Now I only recommend this if you have steady hands because even i drew a little blood this way – but I got it out. just a tip. Also for those of you who have a ridiculously sensitive gag reflex which makes this whole thing the more difficult, make your left hand a fist with the thumb inside, and squeeze – it has something to do with pressure points I think, but for what ever reason it worked and made it possible.
