These are physically, exactly the same as tonsil stones except they form in the crypts of your adenoids instead of your tonsils. I feel like there's something stuck further down in my throat, like behind the thyroid. I can't see that far down. This happened once before and I coughed up a hideous thing that seemed to be a tonsil stone--it was pretty big. Now it's happening again and it's so bad that I'm getting really nauseous. I think it'll come out eventually but I don't know how long I can take this. So can it be a tonsil stone if it's that far down the throat, or what?
